How we use cookies

Cookies are small files a website saves on your phone or computer. Some are needed for the site to work. Others help us understand how people use the site, so we can improve it.

When you first visit, a box appears in the bottom corner of the screen. You can accept all cookies, reject the ones we don't need, or choose for yourself. You can change your mind at any time with the round cookie button in the bottom left corner, or the cookie settings link on this page.

Essential cookies

These are always on, because the site can't work properly without them.

• kac_consent (Karen & Co., 12 months): remembers the choice you made in the cookie box.
• bqCartId (Booqable, stored in your browser): keeps your booking basket while you choose dates and a campervan.
• __cf_bm and cf_clearance (Cloudflare, 30 minutes to 1 year): protect the site and our booking system from bots and attacks.

Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics to count visits, see which pages people find useful and see how many bookings come from the website. Google does this on our behalf, and we've switched off Google's advertising features for this data. These cookies are on unless you switch them off.

• _ga and _ga_T27EHRXD7M (Google Analytics, up to 13 months): tell one visit apart from another.

Visit recordings

Only if you allow it, we use Microsoft Clarity to see anonymous recordings and heatmaps of how pages are used, such as where people click and how far they scroll. It helps us find parts of the site that are confusing. Clarity hides what you type into forms.

• _clck and _clsk (Microsoft Clarity, 1 day to 1 year): link the pages of one visit together.
• MUID, MR, SM, ANONCHK and SRM_B (Microsoft, on clarity.ms and bing.com, up to 1 year): used by Microsoft to run Clarity.

Advertising cookies

Only if you allow it, Google and Microsoft can use cookies to measure whether our adverts lead to visits and bookings. We don't sell your information.

Changing your choice

Use the round cookie button in the bottom left corner of any page, or the cookie settings link. If you reject analytics, we remove the Google Analytics cookies straight away. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics on every site.
